GREAT! The site is back to normal!! Thank you Mr Admin!!  Grin Cool

I just have 2 issues. (Coming from me, 2 issues is pretty good, I'm really really irritatingly, analy, grossly perfectionist)

Those issues are:
- I don't like the smileys. They should be bigger, and more visible. Maybe a different colour. Now I know that you can change the smiley theme, but still, too small and not visible. I'm blind so I need help. Well not really blind, but... ah what the hell, you get my drift.
- The colour. Maybe you can try putting in multiple colour scheme options. I know some of the vBulletin messageboards have that feature.

If anyone needs a picture of a specific artist as an AVATAR, please post your request here, and I'll look for it.

Thanx admin for the changes, you're wise!!

I'm absolutely crazy about the changes, esp... smiley wise. But I have yet another smiley request, I wonder if you could maybe move the cool new smileys to the panel above the reply field, so that we don't have to click on More to get to them, it's very irritating. I love them too much to do that everytime I want to use them. Crying See, I had to do it again.

Probably no for now. Especially, the big ones which will distort the posting form.

I will select a few reasonably sized ones to replace the default ones, on the posting form, as soon as I get hold of more smileys.

We are not done with smileys, yet ...Please be patient. Running

AMF has been getting alot of guests lately, it would be nice to know which section interest them the most by having the "USERS & GUESTS VIEWING THIS SECTION" functionality, on this page instead of inside each subdivision!!http://www.africanmusicforum.com/community/index.php

I ve also seen on some forums where they have like a running total names of forumites (members) who have visited the forum for the day, quite cool!

PS: Do u guys get a notification, when someone has replied to your post?? I wonder if AMF has this, I find it useful too.... Grin  Grin

Yes,you can choose to have notifications or not,it makes no difference to me coz i prefer to check everything that way i also do corrections if i made mistakes in previous posts infact i find the notifications cumbersome coz sometimes your email will have several of them if too many replies are made on the forum.

I will install a very complex 'portal' at some point, with lots of information displayed. I just haven't had the time. Also, check your profile area - there are lots of 'tweaks' available. Go through each, one by one, and experiment.

I notice some of you have changed your display names. When I accessed the forum today, I was kind of confused.....

Let me know how you want this dealt with...I can disable the feature if you want me to.

If I had to change one thing on this site, i'd change its background color, I find it waaaaay to dark! Grin Very dark.

I chose the dark shades because most of Africa is some shade of 'black.'

I do recognize that some of Africa is 'light,' 'white,' and some other shades, plus many others of different shades  worldwide will want to participate -- I guess, that's where the white, orange and yellow letterings come in Smiley

Music brings people together -- Everyone is well represented, I hope Hug

Good observation, I adjusted the time offset and it should be OK now.

Please ensure that your computer's clock shows the correct time and is set to your time-zone.

If time displayed is still not correct, go to your PROFILE and under 'Preferences' - 'auto-detect' your time or adjust it manually until the correct time shows.

Let me know if you are still seeing the wrong time.

TIP: In your profile area, you can make numerous adjustments -- including, whether you want the MOST RECENT post in a thread to appear at the top or bottom of the thread.

I hope I have been helpful Preety!  Bates
