JB has just done wonders to Wenge Musica ''ladder''. I was watching a DVD having JB,, Fally,, Werra and Ferre concerts and this young man was telling me JB is not a Wenge Man unless Werra coz he was just invited to the band by his friends and he never wrote so many songs....but i just kept quite as i have stopped arguing on these lines. And imagine i was even buying beer for this guy and yet he was arguing with the funder Grin

To some extent, that chap you bought beers for was right about JB not being one of the founders,he was trully introduced to Wenge by Alain Makaba as i understand but him and Makaba made what Wenge Clan is today. That song Mulolo was a hit and won many awards making JB so popular that they chose him as honorary President of Wenge.
JB Mpiana also wrote the song Kin E bouge which also won many awards for Wenge, that's when they were taken as a serious Orchestra coz initially Masela,Makaba,Muanga and Werrason started out as mates having fun with jam sessions in local township halls and school playgrounds Grin

I have never heard anything about Tata being a sponsor prior to Wenge becoming a professional Band but i hear that he comes from a rich background but then i wonder why they can't bail him out,he seems to be struggling and was kicked out his contract with Bracongo the Brewers of SKOL Lager who were his sponsors.I believe JB introduced Afande and Tutu to Wenge whilst JB himself was introduced by Makaba that's why their was a strong bond even after the band split up.

Didier the founding father has never been heard of since he released his album Zabala Bakulu a few years back.Late last year or early this year,we heard that Mopao Koffi had approached him and was gonna join Quartier Latin but we have proved that the rumours were unfounded or maybe Le Général Kweck Didier turned down the offer of employment by a former rival. werrason cannot make rubbbish! you should take that back! its imposible for him to make bad music, he is an artist! anyways i heard the first song, i thought it was preety nice! i think its a remix of waka waka from the operation dragon album? world albums are just something different to spice up things for the rest of his fans!

I feel the same way too..... no one said he is totally changing from congo genre from now on, this is just one album, and if its a success so be it, if not, then he will stick to what he knows best... sebenes...kiekie....He is good with Sebenes, I dont think he can totally change from that forever..

Werrason is one of my favourites but i will not mince my words, this world album is crap,it would have been better had he written new songs not remixing some og his best songs like Waka Waka,Kalayi Boeing and Augustine.

Reading from many african music forums, none of his hard core fans are happy with this world album and i agree with them,it's gonna be a failure just like Temoignage was.

like i always say its a matter of personal opinion, i dont think werra would have gone to the studio without a certain audience in mind. for people like me who love him to death, his music is always super!

Maybe the album was intended for West Africans since it's not a world album, most of the songs in it have a West African flava.
I too love JB's music to bits but when he releases crap i admit my displeasure,if we could all do this the better.Anyway,Werrason has 2 albums coming, that same''world''album and the group album ''Mayi ya Sika'',other websites are saying ''Makila ya Sika''.

Looking at the many recent concerts,Brigade is taking lead alongside Prince.Werrason has also recruited more people including atalukus and guitarists,am sure some of those atalukus will have small parts if they are not too late, the album is in its advanced stage,Flam Kapaya has been working on it together with Jean Marc.

I like this toooo. Since we have now grown up and stopped arguing on these lines,, just kindly follow the following advise: get to read very well on the Wenge Genesis. Pliz while u read thru get some compilations of JB and werrason (Rhumbas and sebenes) and sample them whole heartedly and pliz be sobar. After that ask yourself these Qs - a) Who has ritten more better songs, b) Who sings that voice that glues you to the stereo, c) Who makes less noise, d) who has gone western of late and lastly who appeals to you when u look at both artists. Not an argument but just a point to allow poeple to correct their minds Grin Grin

Hie Fallycious. I am here. For me i am a true 100% fan of JB Mpiana but i can say one thing and other forum members who follow me props, will inform u of my hatred for JBs dids sometimes. U know being a true fan means u cant leave your idol but were he missfires, its better to accept defeat. For Werrason whom i like as well, with his limited capabilities in charming poeple with his voice, he makes a mistake on singing a recycled world album as i put it is taking himself to the musical grave. In this world even the strong ones finish if they seem to loose ideas. Who knew that one day we would have no much of Papa Wemba. Only Koffi Olomide is floating because of no much risking in this business.

It could have been JB who brought the young man to Wenge when Le Grand Chibuta Ekokota Wunda was having some probs with vocal cords but we need to ask the poeple that know. Som. Werrason introduced Lias Demingongo,, Afande and Ferre Gola.

Werra is good at finding talented chaps so he could have introduced all these people to Wenge Musica.I am tryng to find some information i found some years back,i am still not convinced that Makaba found JB in Wenge,i understand it was Makaba who introduced JB to Wenge Musica.
