Thank you to Tambour d'afrique radio, with Guy, for giving Fallucious Bebe & the africanmusicforum.com a shoutout!!
 Grin
OH MY GOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!! AM LISTENING TO THE SHOW AS I TYPE....OH MY!! I JUST HEARD GUY INTRO'ING ME FAVORITE SONG, OH I LUV THE WAY HE SAID MY NAME WITH A FRENCH ACCENT... "FALLUCIOUS BEBE"!!! OLALA..AND HE PLAYED IT RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SHOW! WOW...THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! KIE KIE.....(THANKS YOU TO ms bazu AS WELL..LOL) Thanks

This is what GUY said in french and I quote: "Nous allons tout de suite passer avec ...eerr...oui..pur la list..lesse moi vous dire justement...nous avons une chanson qui a ete demander, n'est ce pas(?!) elle a etait demander par Fallucious bebe, donc elle nous a ecrit apartir de l'internet, elle fait partie de Africanmusicforum, alors elle a demande le musique de Ipupa...donc c'est ORGASY, donc.. eer....on vas la servir!!!!

Dont mind the french spelling kie kie....but i just loved hearing that shout out on the internet (radio)!! He was basically saying that we are going to listen to a song that had been asked for by Fallucious Bebe, (pls note:with a french accent!!kie kie), then he says that she wrote to us from the internet and she is part of africanmusicforum, and she asked for the musique of Ipupa et donc on vas la servir.LOL. VOILA!

Here is the link to the radio for those interested!! ENJOY!!

lol well i'm just becoming acquianted with the newer music and artists. i haven't gotten into it enough to say who is my favorite yet BUT i have heard songs that i LOVE from fally, felix wazekwa, jb mpiana, bozi boziana's new stuff, bill clinton, koffi and werrason.

question for you guys, what are the best songs from these artists i just named??

i'm definitely a big huge fan of zaiko langa langa and verkys. those are my two favorite old bands. aside from OK JAZZ of course which is the ultimate. i recently discovered Les Kinois and i love them too. I love the vintage '70s sound the most of all the 'epoches' lol there is something really gritty and fresh about the recordings i love the sound. viva la musica has some songs i adore as well. my uncle is matima mpiosso (r.i.p.) from zaiko langa langa. really my mother's uncle they were very close in age (maybe 10 years apart). my father is also good friends with pepe felly manuaku, uncle bapuise, ilo pablo and gina wa gina efonge. so i have a special place in my heart for zaiko.

my favorite congolese vocalists are mpongo love and youlou mabiala. i love the texture of their voices. i love mbilia bel as well for her overall presence and vocal talents. she has such a presence about her. i love abeti masikini and wish i had more of her music. i have some of her later works.  i mean congolese music has just become a huge passion for me. i really wish i knew the language better. its coming to me more and more though.

Smiley

and to the admin:

THANKS!! that would be great if you could do that. and feel free to 'steal' which ever videos you want lol i steal them from youtube! lol i usually give credit although sometimes i do forget.

AND YOU GUYS WHO WOULD LIKE TO GIVE REQUESTS. THE BEST THING YOU SHOULD DO IS EMAIL GUY @ guyangrand1@hotmail.com HE LOVES TO RECEIVE FANMAIL AND THE CHANCES OF YOUR REQUEST BEING FILLED IS GREATER THIS WAY. THANKS ALOT ALL YOU GUYS FOR THE SUPPORT!!!
