This is a straight field recording of some ritual music of the Gogo tribe in Tanzania. All selections are vocal-based, some solo, some choral, some a cappella, some with accompaniment. The vocal styles range from pretty melodic pieces to more ecstatic. This is more of an ethnographic document than a commercial release, but excellent in that capacity. ~ Sean Westergaard
