Well, the leaders of modern day Congolese music are from Clan Wenge and the King of Clan Wenge is no other than JB Mpiana Salvatore de la patria and his Wenge Bon Chic Bon Genre but i have more respect for older music that's why you hear me say that these small boys coming up now trying to fuse Congolese music with R&B are lost and as we mourn Bialu Madilu, everyone will have a think of what the future will be like in terms of rhumba so they will go back to listening to old music!!!May the souls of Franco,Pepe Kalle,Madilu and the other great musicians rest in peace,we will never forget them!!!!

Manta Lokoka was based in Congo-Brazzaville in the 70's
Never heard of Orchestre Jazira, but a search reveals that they played 'Ghanaian highlife' with a British accent [LOL]:

Micky Micky, I have never heard of.
hello Adm
when I hear the language and rythm, it sounds like a Ghanaian song, moreover "Che che kule" is originally a Ghanaiano children song.Yes they were English based. (Orch. Jazira)They included Ben Mandelson in their lineup. - He should be known for his superb compilations Sound D'Afrique, his A&R work at Globestyle, and also his work as a member of 3 Mustafas 3. Ben Mandelson is a huge influence to fans of Global music over here.
