No smokes in Nairobi Streets

Kenya's former beauty queen-turned musician Sheila Kwamboka was arrested over the weekend for smoking in the streets.(It is currently against the Kenyan law to smoke in public areas,including pubs and night clubs).Sheila was coming from a dinner date at the Intercontinental Hotel and was headed to the PAM Awards launch at Galileos when the askaris pounced on her for breaking the ban on smoking in public."They threatened to take me to Central Police if I did not bribe them,but I said I was ready to face the law.They tagged me along their patrols for an hour before setting me free,"said Sheila

It's a good law they passed,we are enjoying it here in U.K,no smoking in public places or Comapny vehicles so when you go to a nite club,you still come out in the morning smelling your own sweat mixed with Tommy Hillfiger or Hugo Boss Body Cologne instead of cigarette smoke especially if you don't smoke like myself ! ...and those cops sound like the Zambian ones,similar manners,corrupt chaps!!

Yeah... I don't know if I'm enjoying the whole no smokes thing in England. Everyday here, all I want is to smoke! Luckily I'm coming back to SA for a while soon... at least there, you can break a minor law and not get arrested. The cops are too busy taking bribes from prisoners.

A case of mis-placed priorities, and a waste of Police Resources.

The number one killer in black Africa is not cancer, but 'petty' diseases like Malaria, and Malnutrition.

Making certain public areas smoke free is OK -- Movie Theatres, etc.....Why the Kenyan Government has taken it to streets that stink worse than cigarette smoke beats me.

...i think being arrested for slmoking in the streets is quite a "stretch". @ my place of work you not allowed to smoke indoors but it has to be 50feet away from the building...with an 1000$ imposed fine.

He reminds me of one Zambian Presidential hopeful and he's a big time smoker too,Micheal Sata below,former Governor,Minister of Local goevernment,Minister of Health and Minister without Portfolio and now biggest opposition leader.

Don't get me wrong -- I am very much pro-Africa, but our leaders not only look so terrible.....but things get even worse when we beat them up!

I have no quarrel with Madonna, but she has never struck me as 'extremely beautiful.' Andie is a much prettier woman with more natural curves and a nice round 'END-ZONE' to match. Madonna looks more like a 'beautiful boy.'

I have no quarrel with Madonna, but she has never struck me as 'extremely beautiful.' Andie is a much prettier woman with more natural curves and a nice round 'END-ZONE' to match. Madonna looks more like a 'beautiful boy.'

Andie MacDowell is just one of the most irritating women ever to have lived. I hate her acting. And that is all she can supposedly do, too. I don't like her face, and her frizzy hair, and although I don't think she's ugly, I don't find her in the slightest bit attractive.

As for Madonna, she takes some getting used to. Don't get me wrong, when she came out in the 80's, I wouldn't touch that thing with a bargpole (1983)... but as she got older, she got mature, she got sophisticated, and her drive and willingness to work and stand up and be heard is just so attractive! Wow! And the way she's always going for the maximum effect. Yeah, man. Oh and besides, she's Madonna! She's a legend. A living one. You dont get many of those.

I'd rather bonk Rosie O'Donell than Andy MacDowell. And that's saying something.

I don't know whta it is, but I just can't stand her. I'm sure you've had moments like that before. When you hate someone and you can't find out why.
