Muse is a band that's doing very well in the UK, and is doing pretty well in America and the rest of the world. It's a rock band, but with a difference in sound. It has a really intelligent sound, and is completely amazing.

They should be working on their 5th studio album pretty soon, and we could see it do incredibly well, even in Africa.

So get educated, check out some of their stuff, and go to this link to watch Supermassive Black Hole on YouTube, if you know what's good, you'll love it. And if you do, please watch the other videos featured by Muse there. Remember to spread the word! The link to Supermassive Black Hole follows:

My favourite band? Uh no. The reason why I am alive? Yes. My favourite thing on earth? Yes. Muse is light years ahead of anyone else in the music industry. But I advise you to check out their other stuff, maybe you'd like something off of Origin Of Symmetry, as it does have a dancey feel to it.

Their next album is going to be Supermassive. It's gonna possibly have Madonna's producer, and is going to be danced up a little. But it's still gonna have their raw sound. Matthew Bellamy (frontman, ratman) is a genius, one that I am fortunate to have been in the same room as, and to have seen live, 4 times.

Yep. They come from the same city as I do, Teigenmouth. They are just, amazing, and I like their videos because they're unlike anyone else's and alot of them have some scrrrrrumptious ladies in them, like Time Is Running Out, Knights Of Cydonia, Plug In Baby, etc. But check one of my favourite songs, Plug In Baby on YouTube. It might be a bit heavy for your liking, but hey. It's not heavy metal, it's BritPop, and the Pop part comes alive in this song.

Yep. They're coming to Johannesburg and Cape Town. Turns out their fanbase is actually just in the closet. Not sure why. No there is a fanbase in SA. But the fanbase they have in SA doesn't nearly compare to the fanbase they have in the UK. There even the old grannys buying plus-sized underwear headbang to Hysteria. (Oh! Bad picture there!)

Muse just took to the studio three days ago to start work on their next album, and by the end of 2007, their Black Holes Tour DVD will be out worldwide. Yipee.

This type of music is very popular where i live.Every friday there is a show and i see so many young girls and boys and some adults flocking to this place on the High Street.

MarkyS,listening to the kind of guitar sound you like, have you ever heard of Extra Musica's Roga Roga,he is the soloist and loves that distorted guitar sound you love, you can also listen to Flamme Kapaya of Wenge Musica Maison Mere and Felly Tyson who is with Koffi Olomide, try searching on youtube. Grin
Below is song by Extra Musica in which he plays solo guitar with distortion.

listen from Min 3.45 in this song when Roga Roga changes his guitar to distortion,i know this music is not your cup of tea but listen and tell me if this soloist isn't good too Grin Grin

Hey. That is pretty cool. Well, Muse is British. So...
You should be able to see them live alot. They play in London often. But beware, Muse's July 2007 Wembley Arena concert: 350 thousand tickets sold out in 8 minutes flat. So book WAY in advance.

350,000 tickets!!I think that's not realistic coz the capacity at Wembley Arena is way below that. Grin Grin oh,i get it,people snatch all the tickets and put them on ebay etc for a higher price!

No no. I'm sure that Wembley's capacity is near 350 thousand. Remember it has been redone. And it also depends on the stage size. I remember that Madonna and Pink Flloyds capacity of Wembo came down because their stages are MASSIVE! But maybe some did resell.

MarkyS, u really are a big fan of this band. It seems like not many or any of us know who they are though. I can imagine going crazy about a song and no one knows it. What is their album? Is it available in stores? I'd also like to listen to them...and help you spread their name everywhere. Cry Cry
