That's the rumor but no confirmation, I'm trying to call my father in Kinshasa now and should have some news once I hear the truth.

Thanx Papa Musica for this news and welcome to the forum.

This is very sad news indeed, the news seems to be the truth,it's reported he died of a heart attack.Top Congo has been playing his music on one channel.
May His Soul Rest in Eternal Peace,we have lost the Grand Ninja of Congolese & African Rhumba.

For those that don't know Madilu, here are some of his works. He was undeniably the Late Franco's most preferred lead vocalist amongst his great vocalists.

Listen to him in these powerful songs

and this is a song from his album released only a couple of months ago

This must have been a concert and half. The big 4 of T.P.O.K Madilu,Josky,Malage and Ndombe Opetum singing Orphela live in concert!!If only Youlou etc had been their then it would have been the greatest show post Franco era.

Meanwhile, there has been a change of programme for the burial. On Monday,20 August 2007,the body will be moved to the famous Stade de Martyrs to allow as many people to pay their last respects to Le Grand Ninja before burial finally takes place on Wedneday 22 August at Gombe cemetery in Kinshasa.Madilu's first wife Biya is expected to say a few words that Madilu said an hour before he died.

Its said that artists like Fally,, Werrason,, Felix Wazekwa,, TPOK Jazz,, JB will be there to pay their last respect. But are they going to sing as a group or as individuals coz am worried of artists like Fally who may not have much experience on Solemn Music or werrason and Felix who like sebenes.

It's a long event so they will probably sing as individuals and they can do it,all these artists you have mentioned have suitable voices for solemn music, especially Fally Ipupa.Ya Ngiama Werrason can use Eboa and Heritier. If you listen to the song Hommage by Serge Muloso, you can conclude that solemn music is what suits Eboa.

You know what, most singers worldwide learnt their skills at church choirs.

Listen to Eboa Lotin and Serge Mabiala in  Serge Muloso's song Hommage
