I honestly think he's better at arranging his sebenes than even Werrason and JB,i have developed a liking for his sebenes after his recent album Le Jour Plus!

If only and if only,he could find two decent atalukus and at least 2 good singers who can sing like Ferre and Boguis Bompema,he would silence all these youngsters like JB,Werra,Mopao etc! Grin Grin

The problem is he has lost the time......do u know that most poeple dont even know he is the one that did Nzinzi?Huh? But Mudala,, to say that he can beat some of the above on sebenes!!! No No...On sebenes,,Werrason is good but misses the plot somewhere (too fast),,Koffi is a copycat,,JB is jsut good but he does not produce often.

Yeah,he is low profile on international level but at home he is much respected!!

As you rightly said above,we have not paid much attention to other musicians like Kester,Bozi etc,i have actually come to realise that they arrange their sebenes better, the right tempo and no unnecessary breakages like Werrason does,Werrason has been fortunate enough to have Flam Kapaya as his soloist otherwise we would have forgotten about him a long time,i think he made the right decision to demote Japonaise to rhythm & mi-solo(though appointed him Artistic Director).

To me Kesta by this time around he would have been in the likes of Mopao as that is around his age. He looks to have the charisma but what has hindered his progress is the lack of strong backing leading to a slow pace of releasing albums just like JB.

Unlike JB who is rich,Kester is somehow not loaded that's why he takes a long time to release albums,he has been lucky to be rescued by Didi Kinuani in the last couple of years.

...hopefully Ferre doesn't fall into the same trap...it seems this Congolese artists once they are praised for their talents/genius they become lazy/big headed...other examples are Reddy Amisi and Suzuki and i hope Gybson too don't follow...

I don't think Ferre will fall in this trap.Although he hasn't yet hit the international market,he has done some serious collaborations with other big stars and Producers and he'll sure make it big soon coz he's known already. He is currently in studio adding his voice to Papa Lutumba Simaro's upcoming album and his own maxi single for his sponsors Bralima.

The people you mention above such as Suzuki once settled abroad and that's when there careers came to a halt,he's trying to revive his career now and i saw him singing alongside Koffi's Les Mineurs so am sure he has been signed back on again.Gypson will sure make it too,he is loved in Congo and abroad.

I am fast becoming a great fan of Ferre's as well!! LOL. I once asked one of my congolese freinds if a fan can be a Werrasonique and BCBGQUE at the same time!! They just laughed at me!! They all screamed NOOOOOOOO, NEVER EVER!!

So now am wondering if its possible to be an Ipupaphile and Ferre(phile) at the same time kie kie kie... Grin

You can see in Sly's sentence that just buying Werrason's Concert DVDs than Clip DVD/CD/VCD is a true fact that u can not be both BCBG and WMM. Its only that most of your nose will be in one of them. Grin
