Hello!
I'm joining this forum because I need some help. Way back in 1980 I was working on a building site and one of the painters there was an African music freak. He had an amazing collection of LPs he had collected during his travels around the African continent (in a VW Combi, I seem to remember!).
He gave me a cassette of some African jazz funk, which I think was recorded in the early 1970s - possibly in Europe. It features an excellent sax player, guitar, synths, drums and percussion. What is interesting is the use of an early model drum machine which you can hear in the mix. The production sound is clean and very nicely mixed.
I asked quite a few of "experts" and thus far no-one has accurately identified this!
Here is a sample track:

Id anyone can identify it, that would be fantastic!

PS: I hope you don't mind me making this request for help in first post here.
