Currently, there is hot competition amongst young Congolese artists.we have several names from Fally Ipupa,Mukeba Kalonji alias Bill Clinton etc but here is the person that i think will save Congo's young artists swinging into R&B music...Ferre Gola Bataringue,he initialy started out in Wenge Musica Maison Mere comprising of founding father of Wenge Musica Didier Masela,Adolphe Elongo Dominguez and Ngiama Makanda populary known as Werrason. When Masela and Dominguez moved on to pursue solo careers,Ferre stayed with Werrason in Wenge Maison Mere were he was later appointed Chef D' Orchestra.A few years down the line,Ferre,Bill,Japonnaise Maladi and JDT Mulopwe left Werrasons band whilst on tour in Europe and set up Les Marquis de Maison Mere.

Les Marquis released a powerful album Miracles which won them a Kora award.Soon after this, the band broke up with JDT remaining in Europe and releasing a solo album soon afterwards.Bill returned to Congo where he formed a band Les Samourais and has been successful since with a few albums released.Ferre also returned to Congo where he set up a band of young and talented musicians.Ferre was later convinced into joining Quartier Latin of Koffi Olomide and he is reported to have received a house, money and loads of cash from Koffi but a few months later the young man left Quartier Latin to continue with his dream of having his own Orchestra.

Ladies and gentlemen,Ferre Gola is now settled and has shocked Congo with an excellent album called Sens Interdit which is pure Rhumba and Ngwasuma as they call it.

A look at some of Ferre's songs from when he joined Wenge Musica up to his solo album Sens Interdit.

I have seen the whole album clips, very professionally done except for the generique which was the first one to come out and was rushed because they wanted to have one clip to accompany the release of the cd on 23 February 2007.

Looks like the chosen one had an explosive show last weekend, look at this article on digitalcongo.net,it's automatically translated into English for those who don't understand French.

Fit with steel Gola and his orchestra drained a human tide to the opening of the Fikin Kinshasa, 30/07/2007 / Music

The songs in rumba were executed by the musicians and this human tide.  Fit with steel has a very young team that mastery the art.  With his young orchestra, it was equal to himself.  The Saturday July 28 last, day of the start of the active ones the edition 2007 of the Fikin, Steel-tipped Gola was chosen by sn sponsor as musician having the wind in stern and worthy to brighten the evening.

To the town Bralima, Steel-tipped Gola that all the fanatics, toutes tendencies confused awaited, appeared on the podium around zero o'clock to rejoin its musicians that agrémentaient already the evening.  Despite this comparatively advanced hour, the star frantically was applauded by music-loving and its come fanatiques of all the towns of the city province of Kinshasa.  In this spectacle, "THE cherished CHILD" and his orchestra were explosifs.

The songs in rumba were executed in choir by the musiciens and this tide humaine that was in front of them to show that l' artiste has in his catalog of the songs that know actually success.  Fit with steel has a team of very young artists that masteries the art.  With his young orchestra, Fit with steel was equal to himself.

This musical artist that chemine little by little towards the panthéon of the Congolese music, confirmed its talents at the time of all its productions that it livre through the province city of Kinshasa, where it is adopted by everyone.  His concert on Saturday last to the Fikin, is only a realized dream, for Fit with steel did not meet a crowd so compact since as it produces himself with his clean group.  Boiling and explosive as a grenade dégoupillée, Fit with steel actually won a wager to the Fikin

Ferre is also reported to have again collaboraterd with senior artists like Madilu,Papa Wemba etc in making an albunm. He has worked with several other excellent artists, watch this clip in which he sounds angelic.
