I know this should be in another section, but I want to recommend to all you Afro-Beat fans at African Music Forum a top new record.

It's call 'The Very Best of Ethiopiques' 2CD and its the first ever CD compilation of  Ethiopian Afro-Beat (CD1 only, CD2 is more traditional).  There is an official fansite at www.ethiopiques.info if you want to find out more, listen to a streamed medley, LastFM sampler, and Utube videos.

Trust me, you're gonna love this.

Thanks for links, hopefully the I'm going to be doing a bit of work on a Nigerian re-issue compilation soon, so if you got any more recommendations pass them on!

Tim

PS: Nothing wrong with a good Ethiopian restaurant.
