 Bates Clap
Muanamboka thanks alot for this idea it will help us alot
i ve the following contribution to make
in the song skol
koffi says "bamama bapesa singa" (& not nsimba)
a nsinga is a string "batata bapesa tonga (needle).
i was watching the D.Copa song terre sacre featuring Gora
the song talks of MABELE or the EARTH
he says in the song that every thing in all about the earth or soil.
we plant in the ground and we we harvest from it, we build our houses on the earth
we die and all are buried in the earth
Copa has done well for himself
the only extr musica boy who hasnt impressed me is Guy Guy.
when he left the band his replcement Herman say like him and if you are carefull u wud think its Guy on vocals

Thanx for the correction Molakisi. When Koffi and his boys are saying ba mama ba pesa nsinga, ba tata ba pesa ntonga, they are actually using metaphor, the dance was banned by the Congolese censorship authorities but it was too late! Grin

Doudou Copa is a great singer, the song Terre Sacre(Sacred Earth)is a composition by Gutarist/Arranger Maika Munana and it has a very powerful which you have correctly translated above, everything will return to the soil where it all comes from.

Guy Guy Fall is really good,i like the way he sung on Papa Wemba's last album 'Nkunzi Lele',since the break up of Extra Musica,i have been mainly listening to Doudou Copa's rhumba's and only a few of Roga's Roga's main Extra Musica which is the powerhouse for sebenes especially with Roga's guitar skills.

Franco had much to tell the world in style.I have an interest in learning lingala so that I extract the good messages from his music.
Keep up the good work. Thank you in advance.
