[Pliz while u read thru get some compilations of JB and werrason (Rhumbas and sebenes) and sample them whole heartedly and pliz be sobar. After that ask yourself these Qs - a) Who has ritten more better songs, b) Who sings that voice that glues you to the stereo, c) Who makes less noise, d) who has gone western of late and lastly who appeals to you when u look at both artists. Not an argument but just a point to allow poeple to correct their minds
[/quote]
you are the one making it an argument! like i said its a matter of personal taste........i loved werra even when JB was outshining him in wenge,in MY opinion werra has written better songs than JB!like coco mandimba............i hope werra wrote it coz if he didnt y,all gonna kill me kie kie!!!his voice glues me to the stereo................all the time.....even when i hear his voice is somebody elses housei knock and enter and ask to listen..........rude but anything to listen to werra, maybe i like noisy people..........evrybody says celeo is noisy but i dont mind...............noise to you, music to my ears!we all have gone western including JB mpiana with his dreadlocks..........werrason appels to me evrytime!
by the way who was first voted at the kora as the best african musician of all time? who has more albums? who is charitable? who is known as the top selling musician in congo?
i have more but i will let you think about this first!

Sham!! Shame
Afande left BCBG coz i think Boguys Bompema and Ibuba Chaingenge were posing as a threat. But also age catches on a chick as it feals independent to leave its mother hen.

He picks the right people most of the time but doesn't know how to use them,he makes them become background vocalists when they should be doing solo vocals,if Werra could learn just that he will keep producing crap rhumba songs,he is ok with sebenes and Generiques but we want people singing not just people screaming and shouting and too many stoppages in sebenes like the case now with his band,i can give you a list of under utilised singers if you want.
I don't know exactly what transpired to prompt the departure of Afande but i guess it was the same Didi coz he priased him a lot when he released his album INTIFADA after leaving JB's band.

If sham wanted to know even one artist that werra did not use fully,, its Lias Aimelia Demingongo......
Coming to Afande issue,, so Didi always supports a defector/rival to JB isnt it??

Didi will always do anything that pisses off JB just for fun coz he can afford it,he's a millionaire in US$ but JB has proved it to him that he can survive without him!

Werra is good at finding talented chaps so he could have introduced all these people to Wenge Musica.I am tryng to find some information i found some years back,i am still not convinced that Makaba found JB in Wenge,i understand it was Makaba who introduced JB to Wenge Musica.

Werrason used to make nice ballads not any more and it's because of the small (mediocre)singers he's got at the moment. Most people who like Werrason are big fans of sebenes and Werrason is a killer sebenes man.One interesting thing is that i find that most of the people who are so much into Werra's music don't like JB Mpiana and Ferre Gola!
The song Blandine is one of the best rhumba's to have come from Werrason, infact the whole album Kibuisa Mpimpa which was Werra's first solo album is the best that Werra has ever produced and it will take a long time to go back to that time, the same goes for JB's Feux de L'amour, actually Feux De L'amour and Kibuisa Mpimpa were arranged by the same person and that is Al Nzimbi so he is the master arranger out there,i wonder where he is!!The song Blandine was perfected by the combined vocals of Ferre,JDT,Adjani,Aimelia,Baby Ndombe,Serge and Serge Mabiala otherwise Werra also did well in that album,he took quite some time to prepare it that's why it was perfect, nowadays he rushes to release albums.

I just had a chat yesterday with Elvy (''DJ Frank'') the DJ of Legends Pub, Lusaka yesterday and he confirmed Tutu was recruited by JB Mpiana. The DJ is also a well vested guy in congolese music who recently gave me the song writers on Mulolo.
