Hi all :-) We are an Israeli all-women classical singers ensemble called "Sirenot" (Tranlates as "Sirens").
About 2 years ago we had the priviledge of meeting a fabulous Tanzanian choir who taught us the folk song "Harambee". We have a recording, we transcripted the words - but we have no idea what the text means Shocked
We are looking for someone who speaks Swahili and can translate the text for us  Afro
Anyone up for the challenge?
Below is the text we transcripted, please forgive any mistakes.
Any help would be HIGHLY appreciated Roll Eyes
Thanx!!!

O Jenny's mother..

Siwezi kusema

Na mwenyewe yupo
while the owner exists .. while the owner is still around.

Moyo wango wani tuma vyema
My heart strongly sends me..

Niwe mwana chama wa daima
to become a life member..

Si ta we za kuliacha rumba
So I can not leave the Rumba

Bila moyo kunituma
without my heart saying so

Harambee x 3
[This is a call used in East Africa(kenya) to bring people together]

Tu cheze rumba
Lets dance the rumba

I have tried my best as far as I remember the song. But its a long time since I heard it so E&OE.
