Please help! Serious music question!

I was in a cab the other day when the driver put a tape on. The music was fantastic, like nothing I had ever heard before, very very minimal. I asked him who the artist was and he didn't seem to know much other than that it was, 'African music,' so I took a look at the cassette tape myself. The information on the top read JACEYL (Fartum Ahmed Sahal) but after putting that into google I have been able to find nothing. Does anyone know anything about this group/singer (who was a female) and even where I would be able to buy some of their music? I would truly appreciate it! Also, please excuse me if this is in the wrong forum, but I don't know what country this group/singer is from, only the continent. Thanks!

There is a great Somali singer named Fartum. You can probably find her videos out there someplace.
As I recall, there is a Somali music store on line somewhere. You might find it and look for Fatum's music.
Is this waht you heard? A very strong woman's voice with bass, keyboards and  killer sax? If that's what you heard, it was Fartum.

the voice sounds about right but the two songs I heard on the tape were just a string instrument and a drum. any clue on where that online store is i've been looking for it and haven't been able to find it.
