Can one voice inspire millions? Senegalese born musician Youssou N’Dour shares about being that voice for the African continent and beyond.

“I think what I really want to deliver is freedom - freedom about style, freedom about language, freedom about everything.  The story of music has, for too long, been one of separation. There is black music and there is white music.  I’ve tried to break down those barriers through my music, tried to get the message from the people and deliver it with my voice, we are all the same.”

To hear more about this inspirational artist’s journey and his thoughts on activisim through music tune in to CNN’s African Voices on Saturday the 13th of June at 13h30 and again at 20h30
