Saxophonist, "The Lion of Cameroon," Manu Dibango, is an African music legend of immense proportions. He developed a musical style fusing jazz and traditional Cameroonian music called "Makossa."

Dibango has played almost all styles of African Music in the last 50 years ranging from Rumba to soul, reggae, jazz, spirituals, blues...and more. Dibango features on albums by Angelique Kidjo, Anne-Marie Nzié, Meiway, Kékélé and many other top African and international musicians, including a stint with Joseph Kabasele (Le Grand Kalle) in Congo, in the early sixties.

He has also collaborated with Fania All Stars, Fela Kuti, Herbie Hancock, Bill Laswell, Bernie Worrell, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Sly and Robbie. In 1998 he recorded the album CubAfrica with Cuban artist Eliades Ochoa.
