Thanks to the people who donate to WRIR, the equipment we use to bring you the program is not only better now but the stream is better and the sound quality is better. This all has to do with donations from people like you who support us in our effort to be "radio for the rest of us".

We can ALWAYS use your help. Like what you hear? Hit the "Donate" button at www.wrir.org
and give us $5 , $10 , 30e , 15l. Whatever.

And we thank you. My spiel.

Glad you liked the program. What's your take on the song with Emeneya singing backup, saxophone and trumpets? Pretty cool?

And how'd you like that CLASSIC sebene on the Dino Vangu song?

David,

Last night I used your broadcast -- to 'lull' me into sleep -- that's how good it is.

Crisp and clear recording. Really nice!

Mangwana and Dino Vangu were pretty close -- what are they upto nowadays ...are they alive?

As far as I know they are both still with us!!!
Sam released his very nice CANTOS DE ESPERANZA album just 5 years ago. I'm sure you know it!
Dino Vangu made a sweet little CD with Malage De Lugendo (with Michel Sax playing on it as well!) back in 2005. It's called YA DINO DANS "POTO-MAKAMBO" and it's really a good disc, but most of the songs are waaaay too short for my taste and it was and is still almost impossible to find.
